The Global AI Standards Body (GAISB) will hold the inaugural GAISB AI World Summit from April 29 to May 1, 2027, at the Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Port of Spain. The summit is built for executives, financial institutions, regulators, investors and builders who now have to decide what AI is allowed to do with their money, their data and their customers.

The summit is convened by GAISB and organized by AFSV VRC Global Development Group Ltd., a Canadian company based in Whitby, Ontario. Attendance is capped at 1,200, and organizers expect delegates from more than 30 countries. A second edition follows in Toronto on Sept. 22 and 23, 2027.

“AI is moving money, and the rules are being written now,” said Kirwin Narine, CEO of GAISB. “When an AI agent spends, someone still has to sign, and most institutions have not decided who that is. We are holding this summit in Port of Spain on purpose. The countries with the most to gain from AI are the least represented in the rooms where it gets decided, and this summit puts one of those rooms in the Caribbean.”

A dedicated AI and Money track covers stablecoins and programmable payments, AI agents that trade and pay on their own, tokenized markets and the rules regulators will need. One planned session puts the question on stage: an AI agent gets a wallet, a spending limit and an invoice to settle in stablecoin while a compliance officer watches the audit trail. It is titled “When AI Spends, Who Signs?” The Money Room, an invitation-only session held under the Chatham House Rule, is for central banks, regulators, banks, funds, exchanges and custodians.

The wider program runs across six themes that GAISB calls Worlds: The New Enterprise, Trust and Control, Money and Power, The Intelligent Nation, Humanity Next and The Frontier. It includes the Great Debate, where the audience votes before and after; the War Room, where an AI incident unfolds in real time and the room runs the response; and the G-10, a showcase for 10 companies building with AI.

Thirteen Hands-On AI Labs will put widely used AI tools to work live, step by step, from personal AI agents to website builders. Delegates can follow along on a phone or laptop or simply watch. The labs are included with Full Access passes and above, and the lineup will be updated as the market moves. A World Stage showcase, “A Day With Your AI Agent,” is open to every pass holder.

Eight speakers from six countries are confirmed so far, and more will be named as they sign. The current lineup is at gaisb.ai.

GAISB Certification Week runs April 26 to 29 at the same venue, with in-person programs for three GAISB credentials: AI Essentials, AI Systems Security Architect and AI Growth & Marketing Strategist. Each program finishes Thursday afternoon, before the summit opens that evening, and is booked separately from summit passes.

Registration is open at gaisb.ai. Early registration runs through Nov. 30, 2026, and may close sooner. Group rates are available for 10 or more attendees. The call for participation, for talks, panels, case studies, research and demonstrations, is open until Nov. 30.
