GAISB Expands to Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand as Global AI Certification Footprint Grows Across Three Continents

Global AI Standards Body names Giverny Snyman Regional Director to lead certification rollout across Oceania and Southern Africa

GAISB Expands to Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand, globe with the three launch markets highlighted

The Global AI Standards Body (GAISB) today announced its expansion into Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand, extending its flagship GAISB AI Essentials certification across three of the world's most dynamic English-speaking markets. The organization has appointed Giverny Snyman as Regional Director for the new territories.

The move places GAISB's execution-based AI credential in markets where AI adoption is surging across finance, mining and resources, agriculture, healthcare, education, and the public sector, and where employers are increasingly demanding verified, standards-based proof of AI capability rather than self-reported familiarity.

Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand share something powerful: world-class talent, sophisticated economies, and a clear-eyed understanding that AI capability will define the next decade of competitiveness. What has been missing is a common, trusted standard for AI skills that works across borders. That is precisely what GAISB delivers. With Giverny Snyman leading this region, we have the right leader to make GAISB certification the benchmark from Johannesburg to Sydney to Auckland.

As Regional Director, Venter will oversee certification delivery, build partnerships with educational institutions and training providers, and drive enterprise adoption across the three markets.

Across these three nations, organizations are asking the same question: how do we know our people are truly AI-ready? The GAISB AI Essentials certification answers that with evidence, not assumptions. Candidates earn this credential by demonstrating real capability, building with AI, working with it responsibly, and applying it to real business problems. I'm honored to bring a global standard to regions I believe will be among the most important AI talent markets in the world.
