GAISB Enters the ASEAN Region, Bringing Global AI Certification to Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia

Global AI Standards Body appoints Neville Pollard as Regional Director to lead Southeast Asian expansion amid the region's historic AI investment wave

GAISB Enters the ASEAN Region, map of Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia

The Global AI Standards Body (GAISB) today announced its official expansion into the ASEAN region, bringing its flagship GAISB AI Essentials certification to Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, and Malaysia. The organization has appointed Neville Pollard as Regional Director, ASEAN, to lead the rollout.

The expansion positions GAISB at the center of one of the world's fastest-moving AI economies. Southeast Asia is experiencing an unprecedented wave of AI investment, national AI strategies, and data-center and digital-infrastructure buildout, and with it, an urgent demand for a workforce whose AI skills are proven, not presumed. GAISB's entry gives students, professionals, enterprises, and institutions across the four launch markets access to an internationally portable, execution-based AI credential.

ASEAN is not adopting AI, it is racing to lead in it. Governments across the region have made AI capability a national priority, and the single biggest constraint they face is verified talent. GAISB was built for exactly this moment: a global standard that tells any employer, in any market, that this person can actually execute with AI. We are proud to plant our flag in Southeast Asia, and we are even prouder to do it under Neville Pollard's leadership.

Kirwin Narine, Chief Executive Officer of GAISB

As Regional Director, Pollard will lead certification delivery, institutional partnerships, and enterprise adoption across the four launch markets, with a mandate to extend GAISB's presence across the broader ASEAN bloc.

Talent is the true infrastructure of the AI economy, and Southeast Asia has it in abundance, what it has lacked is a common standard to prove it. From Singapore's enterprise sector to Vietnam's engineering talent, Thailand's digital economy, and Malaysia's fast-growing technology corridor, we are giving this region's workforce a credential that travels. My goal is simple: make GAISB certification the recognized mark of AI readiness across ASEAN.

Neville Pollard, Regional Director, ASEAN, GAISB
